At the Chandra X-ray Observatory, astronomers saw a neutron star shooting at 3 million miles per hour. Neutron star RX J0822-4300 will be out of this galaxy in a million years or so. It is believed to have been created 3700 years ago in a supernova.
From Chandra Press Release: "The problem with discovering this cosmic cannonball is we aren't sure how to make the cannon powerful enough." said Winkler. "The high speed might be explained by an unusually energetic explosion, but the models are complicated and hard to apply to real explosions."
